At The Apawthecary Co., we want you to feel confident choosing handcrafted products for your home, your skin, and your pets. Our policies are designed to protect product integrity while offering a fair and transparent experience.
Change-of-Mind Returns (Candles Only)
Unused, unburned candles may be returned within 21 days of delivery.
To qualify:
Candles must be completely unused and unburned
Candles must be returned in original condition
Items must be securely packaged for safe return
To request a return, email:
Include your order number and request details.
If approved, we will email a return shipping label.
Refund Details
Refunds apply to the merchandise amount paid for the candle only.
Original shipping charges and taxes are non-refundable.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method only. We cannot change refund destinations.
Return eligibility is determined after inspection at our discretion.
Candles that have been burned, used, altered, or damaged after delivery are not eligible for refund.
Items damaged during return shipping due to insufficient packaging may be ineligible for refund.
If the item was marked as a gift, any refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
Only candles qualify for traditional change-of-mind refunds.
Body Care, Soap, Bath & Home Products — No Traditional Returns
For safety, hygiene, and quality-control reasons, the following items cannot be returned once shipped, regardless of condition:
Body care products (balms, butters, oils, scrubs, lotions, sprays, and foaming hand soap)
Standard soap bars
Luxury soap bars
Bath bombs
Wax melts
Pet treats and sprinkles
Because these products are applied to the body, exposed to heat, or consumed by pets, we cannot accept traditional returns after delivery.
Eligible items may qualify for our Love It or Swap It Paw-mise™, outlined below.
Love It or Swap It Paw-mise™
If something you ordered isn’t the right fit, you may request one swap per order within 21 days of delivery.
No return is required — you keep the original item.
Once approved, you will receive a one-time swap credit code.
Swap Credit
Regularly priced items qualify for swap credit equal to 100% of the original merchandise subtotal paid.
Items purchased at 50% or more off their listed Compare-At price qualify for 70% swap credit.
Swap credit:
applies to merchandise subtotal only
excludes shipping charges, taxes, and additional fees
must be used in one transaction
Customers are responsible for redelivery shipping costs.

Candles (once burned)
Wax melts
Body care products
Standard soap bars
Luxury soap bars
Bath bombs
Foaming hand soap
Pet treats and sprinkles
Unused candles may alternatively qualify for a traditional return under this policy.
Not Eligible for Swap Credit
The following items are not eligible for swap credit:
Clearance, closeout, or final-sale items
Apparel
Gift cards
We reserve the right to limit or deny return or swap privileges in cases of excessive claims or abuse.

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery and include:
Your order number
Photos of the product
Photos of the packaging
A brief description of the issue
We will review and provide a replacement or refund at no cost to you.
Apparel (Final Sale)
All apparel items are final sale.
Apparel is custom printed and fulfilled by a third-party partner. Because these items are made to order, we cannot accept returns, exchanges, or swaps unless the item arrives damaged or incorrect.
If there is an issue with an apparel order, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:
Body care products
Standard soap bars
Luxury soap bars
Foaming hand soap
Bath bombs
Wax melts
Pet treats or sprinkles
Apparel
Clearance or final-sale items
Gift cards
Products damaged due to misuse or improper care
Refund Timeline
Once we receive an eligible candle return, inspection typically takes 2–4 business days.
Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
