What are your candles made of?

Our candles use a clean-burning 70% coconut / 30% soy blend with cotton wicks and pet-conscious fragrance oils free of parabens and phthalates.

Are your candles safe for pets?

Yes β€” our formulas are clean, gentle, and pet-conscious.
Still, always keep lit candles out of reach and never leave them unattended around pets.

How long do candles take to ship?

  • In stock: 2–4 business days

  • Fresh batch: Up to 10 days to pour, cure, and ship

How long do they burn?

Most 8 oz candles burn 40–55 hours with proper wick care.

What are your burn safety guidelines?

  • Trim wick to ΒΌ inch

  • Never leave a candle unattended

  • Keep away from kids, pets, and drafts

  • Burn 3–4 hours at a time

  • Stop use when Β½ inch of wax remains


🧼 SOAPS & BODY PRODUCTS

Are your soaps natural?

Yes β€” made with plant oils, butters, clays, and skin-safe fragrance blends.
Zero parabens. Zero phthalates. Zero harsh synthetics.

Why do soaps take so long to ship sometimes?

Cold-process soaps cure for 4–6 weeks.
If a batch is still curing, we list the expected ship date or notify you directly.

Are your balms and oils safe for sensitive skin?

We use gentle, nourishing ingredients β€” but a patch test is always recommended.
Discontinue if irritation occurs.


🐾 PET TREATS

Are your treats safe for dogs?

Yes β€” made in small batches with human-grade, pet-safe ingredients and no fillers.

How long do they last?

Most treats stay fresh 3–6 months depending on ingredients.
Store in a cool, dry place.

Do your treats help with breath, joints, or digestion?

Some recipes include natural ingredients known to support these areas, but we do not make medical claims.

How long does processing take?

  • Candles: 2–10 days

  • Soaps: if fully cured, 2–4 days

  • Balms, oils & treats: 2–4 days

Shipping time is added on top of processing time.

Do you offer free shipping?

Promotions change.
If free shipping is active, it will appear at the top of our website.

Do you ship internationally?

Only if enabled at checkout.
Buyers are responsible for all duties, taxes, and customs fees.

Do you accept returns?

Yes β€” 21-day return on unused, unopened products.
Customer pays return shipping.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Email us within 7 days at theapawthecaryco@gmail.com with:

  • Order number

  • Photos of product + packaging

We’ll take care of it.

Can I return used candles or open treats?

For safety reasons, we cannot accept returns of:

  • Used candles

  • Open soaps or body products

  • Opened pet treats

🧺 PRODUCT CARE

How should I store products?

  • Candles: cool, dry place

  • Soaps: keep dry between uses

  • Balms & oils: avoid extreme heat

  • Treats: sealed container or bag

Do candles melt in heat?

Coconut + soy wax has a softer melt point than paraffin.
Bring packages indoors quickly in hot weather.
