At The Apawthecary Co., sustainability is not about trendy labels or empty buzzwords. It is about making smarter choices about what we use, how we make it, and how products move from our workshop into real homes.
As a family-run brand, we have the advantage of staying close to every decision. Our goal is simple: create skincare, candles, home fragrance, and home goods that feel great to use while reducing unnecessary waste wherever possible — and yes, everything still has to meet the standards of Kylo, our Chief Executive Doodle.
Clean Candle Standards
Materials chosen for performance, cleaner burning, and a more thoughtful end-to-end experience.
Our candles are designed to burn beautifully while using carefully selected materials. We use a premium coconut–soy wax blend chosen for smooth appearance, strong scent performance, and a cleaner burn compared to many traditional wax options.
We also use reusable glass vessels, making it easy to repurpose finished candle jars for small plants, desk storage, cotton rounds, makeup brushes, or little home essentials.
Ingredient Integrity
Formulas built around performance, skin compatibility, and avoiding what does not need to be there.
Across our body care collection, we focus on ingredients that support skin feel, stability, and overall product performance without relying on unnecessary fillers.
Many products in our lineup are also vegan, though some formulas may include responsibly sourced ingredients such as beeswax. We also prioritize ingredients and preservation systems chosen for both safety and stability.
Pet-Inspired Extras
A thoughtful extension of the brand, made for homes that include pets.
Pets are part of our story and part of the homes that inspire us. When we create pet-inspired extras, we approach them with the same care, ingredient awareness, and quality standards we expect across the rest of the brand.
These products are a smaller part of what we do, but they still reflect the same commitment to thoughtful making and comfortable, pet-conscious living.
Handcrafted with Intention
Being hands-on lets us stay closer to quality, consistency, and material use.
Rather than building around mass manufacturing, we focus on a more hands-on production approach in our workshop studio environment. That gives us better visibility into what is being made, how it performs, and where waste can be reduced.
Every product is made with attention to detail rather than built around excess.
Responsible Packaging
Materials matter — especially once the product leaves our hands.
Where possible, we choose packaging materials that are reusable, recyclable, or minimized. The goal is not perfection — it is making better choices where we can and improving as we grow.
When bubble wrap appears in your shipment, it is often reused packaging from incoming supplier shipments, helping extend the life of materials that might otherwise be discarded.
Waste-Conscious Production
Better decisions during production reduce waste before packaging even begins.
Waste reduction starts with how products are made. Our production process is designed to stay practical, efficient, and mindful of materials from start to finish.
