Returns & Refunds Policy

At The Apawthecary Co., we want you to feel confident choosing handcrafted products for your home, your skin, and your pets. Our return and refund policies are designed to protect product integrity while still giving you a fair and straightforward experience.


Change-of-Mind Returns (Candles Only)

Unused, unburned candles may be returned within twenty-one days of delivery.
To qualify, candles must be unused, in original condition, and returned in protective packaging.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Refunds are issued to the original payment method once the candle is received and inspected.

We are unable to accept returns of candles that have been used, partially burned, or damaged after delivery.


Body Care & Pet Treats — No Returns

For safety and hygiene reasons, body products such as balms, butters, oils, scrubs, and lotions cannot be returned once shipped.
Pet treats and sprinkles are also non-returnable.
Any opened or unsealed product is ineligible for return.

These items may still qualify for our Love It or Swap It Paw-mise™.


Love It or Swap It Paw-mise™

If something you ordered isn’t the right fit, you may request a one-time swap within fourteen days of delivery.
No return is required — you keep your original item.
A flat ten dollar swap fee applies, and the replacement must be of equal or lesser value.
Each order is eligible for one swap only.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within seven days of delivery.
Please include your order number, photos of the product and packaging, and a brief description of the issue.

We will replace or refund the affected item at our discretion and at no cost to you.


Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns on opened or used body products, opened pet treats, clearance items, seasonal items, gift cards, or products damaged due to misuse or improper care.


Refund Timeline

Once we receive an eligible return, inspection typically takes two to four business days.
Refunds generally appear within five to ten business days depending on your bank’s processing time.
