Product Care
Product Care
How to get the most out of your products.
Everything we make is thoughtfully crafted to feel good in everyday use. A little product care goes a long way when it comes to scent, texture, longevity, and overall experience.
Because our products are handcrafted and made with thoughtfully selected ingredients, slight changes in texture, firmness, or appearance can happen. In most cases, that is completely normal and easy to manage with proper storage and use.
Quick Jump
Choose the product type you need help with.
Our candles are made to feel cozy, refined, and easy to enjoy at home. A few good candle-care habits help support cleaner burns, better performance, and a more consistent experience from first light to last.
Before Lighting
- Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each burn
- Place the candle on a heat-safe, level surface
- Keep away from fans, vents, and drafts to help prevent uneven burning
- Keep out of reach of children and pets
During Each Burn
- Allow the wax to melt close to the edges during the first few burns to help prevent tunneling
- Do not burn longer than 3–4 hours at a time
- Keep the wax pool free of debris such as wick trimmings or matches
After Your Burn
- Extinguish using a snuffer when possible to minimize smoke
- Allow the candle to cool completely before moving
- Discontinue use when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Avoid direct sunlight or high heat to help preserve scent and appearance
- Keep the lid on when not in use if your candle includes one
Wax melts are a simple, flame-free way to enjoy home fragrance. A little care helps preserve scent quality and makes cleanup easier between uses.
How to Use
- Place one wax melt in the dish of an electric or tealight wax warmer
- Do not add water
- Never leave a warmer unattended
- Keep warmers away from children and pets
Reuse & Storage
- Wax melts can be rewarmed multiple times until the fragrance naturally fades
- Allow wax to cool before removing it from the warmer dish
- Store unused melts in a cool, dry place
- Keep away from direct sunlight or high heat to prevent softening
Once scent is no longer noticeable, remove the cooled wax and replace it with a fresh melt.
Our cold-process soaps are designed to feel rich, creamy, and satisfying to use. Letting bars dry out properly between uses helps them stay firmer and last longer.
To Maximize Longevity
- Use a draining soap dish
- Keep bars out of direct water streams
- Allow soap to dry completely between uses
- Store unused bars in a cool, dry place with airflow
About Curing
- Our soaps are cured for 5–6 weeks to support firmness, longevity, and a creamy lather
- If a bar feels slightly softer on arrival, it may continue to firm up over the next few days
- This is normal for handcrafted soap
Our balms, lotions, and body oils are made with thoughtfully selected oils and butters that can soften, firm up, or shift slightly with temperature changes. That is part of working with more naturally responsive ingredients.
Storage Tips
- Store at room temperature when possible
- Keep water-based products tightly closed when not in use
- Avoid high heat, direct sun, and steamy storage conditions when possible
If Texture Changes
- If a balm softens or melts in heat, allow it to cool and firm back up before use
- If a product becomes firmer in cooler weather, let it warm to room temperature
- Minor texture shifts are normal and do not automatically mean the product is bad
To Help Preserve Freshness
- Use clean, dry hands or a small scoop when dipping into jar products
- Close lids tightly after each use
- Keep products away from excess moisture when possible
Before Use
- Always patch test before first use, especially if you have sensitive skin
- If scent, texture, or appearance changes significantly, discontinue use
- Review ingredient lists if you have known sensitivities
Body care products are best enjoyed when stored properly and used within a reasonable timeframe after opening.
